In Antwerp, this influence can be seen in various art exhibitions, museums, and cultural events that pay homage to Congolese art, music, and traditions. Through thought-provoking exhibitions and educational programs, MAS offers visitors a nuanced perspective on Belgium's relationship with Congo and the broader implications of colonization. In recent years, there has been a concerted effort in Antwerp to address the darker chapters of its colonial history and promote a more inclusive dialogue on cultural diversity. Collaborative art projects between Belgian and Congolese artists have emerged as powerful tools for fostering cross-cultural understanding and reconciliation.
